Travel Insurance

We are delighted you are joining the Mela 2024 Retreat in Ojai, California.

Considering the uncertainty of the times, travel insurance is highly suggested and more important than ever. Travel insurance will protect your travel investment if you need to cancel and also protect you while you are traveling.

All policies are not the same. You can select the dollar amount you wish to insure. You can also select upgrades to your policy that may cover more personal reasons for your trip cancellation. Please be sure to read your policy and understand the valid reasons for cancellation. All of the travel insurance companies mentioned here will reimburse 100% if cancelation is for medical reasons.

You will want to purchase the travel insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit to cover pre-existing conditions and take advantage of the cancel anytime policies. If you miss this window, don’t worry, you can purchase travel insurance up until the day prior to travel - but to cover more reasons for cancellation and pre-existing conditions it is recommended you purchase insurance right away.

We suggest using Travelex or Alianz Global. We have great rates with these insurance companies and any necessary claims will be handled quickly. Travel insurance varies depending on the amount you want to cover, your age, the state you reside in, and the specific policy selected.
